Special note: | This piece was created while Hiroe was in Kyoto, Japan. She exhibited it in a “Joryū Tōgei’ (Women’s ceramic group) exhibition and received a rave review from Yuzo Kondo and Munemaro Ishiguro, two ‘Living National Treasure’ ceramic masters. Hiroe noted it assured her of choosing ceramics as her career. |
